The investment concerns the creation of a bamboo plantation in Congo of the endrocalamus Giganteus variety, which is also edible. Each adopted and purchased seedling in Italy corresponds to a seedling planted in Congo. Local farmers will be trained, also in order to increase producers income. The project aims at planting n. 1250 bamboo plants on site and training 35 farmers. Piantumazione a distanza supporto alla commercializzazione del bambù in RdC. Dialogue Education Peace" initiative aims at reducing the inequalities among different communities (namely refugee and host communities, and various ethnic and religious groups) in the DRC regions of North and South Kivu. This objective is achieved through two results (R1 and R2). R1 focuses on improving access to primary education in the area of Goma for the most vulnerable children of both the refugee and the hosting communities, by providing furniture and teaching materials for formal educational activities, extracurricular support, and social inclusion promotion with children at the "Floribert Bwana Chui" primary school in Goma (A1 and A2). Moreover, R1 also includes activities specifically targeting obstacles in access to education for street minors and marginalized children, through reception services for street girls in Goma (A1.3) as well as support actions for street children in Goma (A1.4). R2 deals with the promotion of interreligious dialogue, peaceful coexistence, and social inclusion in the areas of Goma, Bukavu, and Uvira. This includes awareness-raising and training sessions with local communities on peaceful coexistence in Goma, Bukavu, and Uvira, specifically addressed to the youth (A2.1); events promoting interreligious dialogue in Goma, Bukavu, and Uvira (A2.2); extracurricular activities for social support and promotion of social inclusion with children in Bukavu and Uvira (A2.3). L’iniziativa “D.E.P. Dialogo Educazione Pace” ha l’obiettivo di ridurre le disuguaglianze di risultato tra differenti comunità (di profughe/i e ospitanti, diversi gruppi etnici e religiosi) in Nord e Sud Kivu, in Repubblica Democratica del Congo. Si contribuisce a questo obiettivo viene attraverso due risultati (R1 e R2). Il R1 riguarda il migliorato l'accesso all'educazione primaria nell'area di Goma per bambine/i profughe/i e della comunità ospitante più vulnerabili attraverso la fornitura di arredi e di materiali didattici per le attività di educazione formale e quelle extrascolastiche di supporto e promozione dell’inclusione sociale dei minori nella scuola primaria “Floribert Bwana Chui” di Goma (A1 e A2).
