This includes understanding their reproductive health, contraception options, safe sex practices, and their rights under national and international law. <narrative xml:lang="en">GHA 1 is a membership-based youth organisation with national, regional and local chapter clubs in Greater Accra, Western, Central, Ashanti and Northern regions. The organisation has its roots in radio broadcasting since the mid-nineties. In 2018 it employed 12 persons, and more than 200 volunteers were connected to the organisation. SRHR is one of a number of areas in which the organisation is working, with the Children and Youths development as the overall objective. With many projects and many donors over the years, as well as good links to the government, other CSOs and to young people, they are assessed to have both experience and legitimacy, as well as capacity to implement the proposed intervention. The intervetion supported by RFSU will contribute to: Young people are able to easily approach healthcare providers and other stakeholders in the SRHR space for assistance when necessary; Ensuring that already existing SRHR legislation can better serve those whom it is intended for; Community leaders will buy into the essence of maintaining proper reproductive health practices, and realise how that is directly tied to the development in their locality; Community ownership of beneficial SRHR interventions such that they are in a position to welcome other initiatives that will contribute to their development both as individuals and as a community. Intervention objective: Increased awareness and recognition of girls’ and young women’s SRHR, especially the right to abortion.</narrative>
