UNMAS will provide technical assistance in institutional development, coordination, and quality assurance systems. The project will also promote inclusive practices, enhance public awareness, and strengthen information and operations management.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">Operationally, UNMAS will equip and train national teams, including the necessary oversight and monitoring of these aspects, under the Ministry to enable mine action activities to be conducted to international standards, including survey, clearance, and explosive ordnance risk education. UNMAS will also, through its own partners, carry out Non-Technical Survey (NTS), Technical Survey (TS), Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), and mechanical and manual clearance operations in priority governorates to directly support humanitarian and early recovery projects.
